By Forinfos - 03/06/2025 - 0 comments
Rheumatologists and neurologists can both diagnose and treat patients with fibromyalgia, states WebMD. Rheumatologists also treat and help patients figure out the right medications to take in order to reduce their symptoms, as do neurologists.
Patients who have fibromyalgia should first see their primary care physician, states WebMD. If the primary care physician believes the disease has advanced, then she may refer them to a rheumatologist or a neurologist. Other specialists and doctors that fibromyalgia patients may see include pain specialists, orthopedic doctors and psychologists. Some patients may see one or more these specialists in order to manage the disease.
