The latest version of the C-130 Airlifter is the Lockheed Martin C-130 Super Hercules as of 2015. The Super Hercules is the longest running C-130 series aircraft to still be in production.

The Hercules is generally operated by two pilots and one load carrier. Although there are several different variants, the Hercules is usually used as a troop carrier. The model is also popularly used in civilian and humanitarian aid operations.

The cargo compartment is 41 feet long, 9 feet high and 10 feet wide. It is powered by four Rolls-Royce AE 2100 D3 turboprops with Dowty R391 composite scimitar propellers. The cockpit also features heads-updisplays for each individual pilot.
