What are lazy river pools?

According to the Lazy River Company, a lazy-river pool generates a slow current; this allows individuals to float with the current on a raft or inner tube. Lazy rivers can be incorporated into large swimming pools, or they can be standalone water attractions.
Lazy rivers are often found at water parks, hotel pool complexes and luxury resorts. They are typically shallow enough that individuals to stand in them, or about 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 feet deep. Some lazy rivers incorporate waterfalls as scenery or obstacles to go around while floating. Some lazy rivers go in circles, while some lead into other pools.
