The leopard puffer is a marine reef fish that has been introduced as an aquarium fish. It is about 3 inches long and covered with black spots. It also has blue-and-yellow stripes.
The leopard puffer is a member of the sharp-nosed puffer family of fish. It requires a relatively large saltwater tank. It eats squid, krill, clams and hard-shelled shrimp. It is a peaceful fish and can be kept with most other marine fish. It can also be kept in reef tanks. In the wild, it lives in deep water caves and spends time poking its beak into crevices in search of food.
