What is the life expectancy of a pit bull?
By Forinfos - 07/03/2025 - 0 comments
Pit bulls live an average of 12 to 14 years. With a proper diet and regular medical care, pit bulls can live 16 years or longer.
The pit bull was first recognized as an official breed by the United Kennel Club in Britain in 1898. The American Kennel Club recognized the breed as the American Staffordshire terrier in the early 1930s. The term "pit bull" is used as a name for the bull terrier, the Staffordshire bull terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American pit bull terrier. With proper training, these dogs can be great family dogs. They need owners who can provide lots of attention to avoid bad habits, such as destructive chewing and aggressive behavior.
