Pugs typically require a moderate amount of care. They become overheated easily and should be kept out of extreme temperatures. Although pugs need little brushing, their skin must be washed and dried regularly to prevent infection in the facial wrinkles. Pugs need to go for walks or engage in energetic play at least once a day because obesity is a concern. Because of their facial shape, pugs are likely to snore and wheeze.
