What is the life span of a Persian cat?
By Forinfos - 30/12/2025 - 0 comments
Healthy, well-bred Persian cats have a life expectancy of 15 years or more. Domestic cats overall have an average lifespan between 10 and 18 years; this places Persians on the high end of the scale.
Pure-bred cats in general have a life expectancy around 15 years. The life expectancy also varies by breed. How long a Persian cat will live depends on several factors, with its living environment being weighed very heavily. An indoor Persian has a greater chance of fulfilling its breed's life expectancy than one exposed to outdoor life. Annual pet examinations and a closely monitored diet can give a cat an improved quality of life.
