What are some littoral zone organisms?

Some organisms that live within the littoral zone include the sea anemone, the horseshoe crab and the black-faced blenny. Many species of crustaceans, mollusks, fish and other organisms dwell in the littoral zone, which is a marine ecosystem that occurs where water meets the coastline.
The littoral zone is composed of four major sections: the spray zone, the high tide zone, the middle tide zone and the low tide zone. Organisms that live in these conditions must be adapted to exposure to air during low tides and complete immersion in saltwater during high tides. These species must also be able to withstand dramatic temperature changes and varying levels of salinity and water turbulence.
