How long do bedbugs live?
By Forinfos - 09/03/2026 - 0 comments
It is estimated that bedbugs live up to 550 days, though the average adult bedbug lives about 10 months. The lifespan of the bedbug is due in part to its ability to live long periods of time without food.
The adult bedbug's longevity is not only due to its ability to live on practically nothing but also because of its ability to smell chemicals. This makes it difficult to extinguish bedbugs since the pests simply avoid the chemically treated areas. In addition to that, the nymph, or immature bedbug, has a lifespan of several months, which gives it time to reproduce.
