Chiropractic school typically takes four years to complete, although there is some variance. It is an advanced degree program taken by people who want to become licensed chiropractors. Doctor of Chiropractic, or D.C., is the degree awarded to a graduate.

Science, chiropractic techniques and philosophy, and business management courses are common components of chiropractic school curriculum. Students also complete lab-based coursework and clinicals as part of their program. Many chiropractic schools accept candidates who have completed 90 undergraduate class hours. However, some applicants complete their bachelor's degree before applying because state licensing boards often require a bachelor's degree for licensure.
