Jim Boeheim's first marriage, which lasted approximately 18 years, lasted from 1976 to 1994. His first wife was Elaine Boeheim, with whom he has a daughter, Elizabeth, now a junior at Colby College in Maine as of 2015.

Boeheim, the current head coach of the men's basketball team at Syracuse University, is now married to Juli Boeheim, with whom he has three sons: James Arthur III and twins Jack and Jamie. The pair have been married since 1997. After Boeheim suffered from cancer in 2001, they founded the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation together, which is devoted to child welfare and cancer treatment and prevention.
