How long does it take to finish PA school?

The average program to become a physician assistant is between 24 and 27 months from start to completion. There are also part-time programs available that require three years to complete. These programs are designed for students who already have bachelor's degrees.
In addition to the standard PA program, there are accelerated PA programs that students can enroll in straight from high school. These programs combine undergraduate and graduate students and can take five or six years to complete, depending on the program. If the students attend a part-time accelerated program, the time frame from start to completion would be longer.
