How long does homemade fudge keep?

Stored in an air-tight container, fudge stays fresh in a cool, dry place for one to two weeks. Fudge kept in the refrigerator lasts two to three weeks. Fudge keeps in a freezer for two to three months.
Both plastic and metal containers work well for the storage of fudge as long as they have a tight seal. When putting fudge in the air-tight container, place waxed paper between layers to prevent sticking. As an alternative to this, use the waxed paper to wrap each piece separately. For maximum freshness, do not cut the fudge into pieces after it sets. Keep it in a block, and cut off slices as needed.
