How long does it take to grow tree saplings?

The process of growing a sapling from a seed takes several months and requires a period of chilling. Seeds are typically kept cold for an extended time before planting.

Many fruit seeds must be kept cool for 60 to 130 days before the seed may be planted. After the cooling period, the seed must be planted in sterile potting soil and left undisturbed for up to eight weeks before being transplanted to the garden.
