How long does leftover pork keep?

Leftover pork, beef and poultry can be refrigerated for up to four days and frozen for up to six months safely. Be sure to set the temperatures of the refrigerator and freezer to 40 degrees and 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below to avoid food spoilage.
Leaving meat out at room temperature for an extended period of time can accelerate the growth of dangerous food bacteria, so the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control recommend refrigerating or freezing meat quickly after cooking. Also, be sure to store leftover meats in airtight containers or bags to prevent food contamination or freezer burn.
