How long does it take for PVC glue to dry?
By Forinfos - 05/05/2025 - 0 comments
The drying time of PVC glue depends on the glue brand, pipe diameter, pressure of the plumbing system and environmental factors like relative humidity and temperature. PVC glue dries more quickly in warmer temperatures with little humidity.
Most PVC adhesive brands list the time for glue to set and fully cure in the application instructions. This information is often given in a table format based on the ambient temperature and size of the pipe. For example, Oatley All Weather Clear Cement applied to half-inch pipes in a system supporting no more than 180 PSI cures completely in 15 minutes in temperatures that range from 60 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
