As of 2015, the longest hole in PGA Tour history was the 670-yard 16th hole on the Lake Course of the Olympic Club in San Francisco. This record distance was established during the 2012 U.S. Open; the par-70 course measured a total of 7,170 yards.

In most years, the longest hole on the PGA Tour is the 667-yard, 16th hole at Firestone Country Club, located in Akron, Ohio and home to the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational. At 663 yards, the 18th hole at Hawaii's Plantation Course at Kapalua, Maui, host of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, ranks just behind it.
