What do LS and LT stand for?

The initials "LS" stand for luxury sport when referring to a Chevrolet vehicle, whereas LT refers to a Chevrolet luxury touring vehicle model. Both LS and LT models provide features not found in base models.

A luxury sport vehicle is a Chevrolet model that features advanced sport-utility components, such as a six-speed transmission, up to 17-inch aluminum wheels, all-wheel drive and sliding rear seats. The luxury touring models boasts many of the features of the luxury sport with additional components focused on comfort during long-term travel, such as premium cloth heated seats, auto-dimming mirrors, adjustable seats, automatic climate control and remote-vehicle-starter systems.
