Who is Maddie Zeigler?

Maddie Ziegler is a child dancer, model and actress who rose to prominence when she starred in "Dance Moms," a reality TV show that runs on the Lifetime network as of 2015. Maddie, whose full name is Madison, was born in September 2002 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Her parents, Melissa and Kurt Ziegler, divorced in 2011 after the family's involvement in dance took a toll on their marriage. Maddie has been dancing since age 2 and is trained in acro, contemporary, tap, ballet, aerial and jazz dance styles. She attends the Abby Lee Dance Company and has won many competitions. She also has acted, playing the role of childhood Deb in "Drop Dead Diva" in 2012.
