Will a magnet stick to tin?

Tin does not have significant measurable magnetic attraction. The volume magnetic susceptibility of tin is negative 0.0000227, and it is classified as a paramagnetic material with aluminum, copper sulfate and oxygen.

While tin does have a minuscule magnetic attraction, the thermal vibrations that take place at room temperature knock the permanent magnetic moments out of alignment. Tin does not maintain any significant attraction when placed in a magnetic field. At other temperatures, when the vibrations take place at different levels, magnetic properties change. For example, when liquid oxygen is at a temperature of negative 297.4 degrees Fahrenheit, it is possible to move it around with a strong magnet.
