How do you make a birthday card?

Make a birthday card by printing out photos, attaching them to a piece of card stock and adding glitter to some of the details on the picture. This takes less than 1 hour. You need a printer, photos, card stock, glue and glitter.

1. Choose the pictures you want to print

   Choose the pictures you want to use for the card. These can include pictures of the birthday girl with a cake, blowing bubbles or playing.

2. Print out the pictures

   Print out the pictures in a standard size that fits into a card envelope.

3. Cut out a piece of card stock

   Cut out a piece of colored card stock on which to frame the photos. If you choose an accordion-style card with three or more photos, lay the photos out on the piece of card stock, making sure to leave a narrow frame of paper around them in order to get the right size.

4. Fold the piece of card stock

   For the traditional birthday card, fold the piece of card stock in half. For an accordion-style card, fold the piece of card stock in equal thirds.

5. Attach the photos

   Glue the photos onto the card stock.

6. Add the glue

   Add a dot of glue to the details of the picture that you want to highlight. For instance, highlight bubbles, candles or a toy. Do not overdo it.

7. Add the glitter.

   Once the glue is in place, add colored glitter. Wait for the glue to dry.
