To make stencils, open the picture in Microsoft Word, make it black and white, adjust brightness to get the desired effect and then print the stencil. Almost all images can become a stencil using these steps in Word.
It is also possible to use Word to create number and letter stencils. Use a black background and white letters for this since it is easiest to trace after printing. Simply type in the words, letters or numbers that someone needs a stencil for and choose the proper font and size. If the font sizes available in Word are not enough, just type a number in to get the appropriate size.
