Is there a Maltese Shih Tzu rescue facility in the United States?

There are several Maltese and Shih Tzu rescue facilities located throughout the United States. The one with the most web presence is the Colorado Shih Tzu, Maltese and Lhasa Apso Rescue based in Denver, Colorado.

There are several Shih Tzu rescues spread out across the continental United States. Many of these rescues take in other small Asian breeds as well. For example, while Shih Tzu Rescue in southern Florida exclusively takes in Shih Tzu, Peke A Tzu in Trufant, Michigan, takes in Pekingese, Shih Tzu and other small dogs. Wee Rescue of Texas also specializes in rescuing Shih Tzu, Pekingese and Lhasa Apsos from area shelters.
