How many arches are in Arches National Park?
By Forinfos - 25/11/2025 - 0 comments
Utah's Arches National Park is home to a variety of spectacular natural sandstone forms, including more than 2,000 natural arches. This number is ever changing, though relatively slowly, as older arches lose their structural integrity and fall and new arches are formed by natural forces.
For example, since the 1970s, about 40 arches are known to have collapsed. According to the National Park Service, there is no official count to determine the number of arches in the park. The 2,000 number is an estimate. Perhaps the most iconic arch in this park is one known as Delicate Arch, which is frequently featured in photographs of the park.
