Michael Connelly is the author of 27 novels as of 2015. His books carry a mystery theme and are based around crimes and major events that are set in the United States.

At least 17 of his published novels have been given top honors and awards, as well as appearances on the New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestsellers lists. His 16th novel, "The Lincoln Lawyer," was adapted into a major motion picture with Matthew McConaughey as the main character. Connelly has sold over 58 million copies of his books worldwide, and his books have been translated into 39 different languages.
