How many Cabela's stores are there in the United States?

As of June 7, 2014, Cabela's has 51 open stores, three stores opening in the summer of 2014 and 15 announced locations in the United States. Cabela's also has five open and three announced locations in Canada.

Cabela's stores offer a unique shopping experience; they are as much wildlife museums and education centers as they are retail stores.

The first Cabela's store opened in 1964 in the basement of the founder's father's furniture store. However, Dick Cabela, the original founder, started the company as a mail-order business in 1961, and catalog and online sales generate a substantial portion of the company's sales, shipping products to 125 countries outside the United States.
