How many calories are in a bottle of red wine?
By Forinfos - 07/02/2026 - 0 comments
On average, red wine contains approximately 25 calories per ounce; if the bottle contains 750 millileters (25.4 ounces) of wine, then it contains between 635 and 640 calories. A 1.5-liter (50.8-ounce) bottle contains between 1,270 and 1,300 calories.
Those who are attempting to lose weight must consider their amount of wine consumption. Switching from red to white wine reduces the caloric intake somewhat, but replacing wine consumption with sugar-free juice or water gets rid of even more calories in a diet. Red wine does have benefits for heart health, but these benefits do not always outweigh the amount of calories involved.
