How many children did Louie Zamperini have?

Louis Zamperini had two children: a son, Luke Zamperini, and a daughter, Cynthia "Cissy" Zamperini-Garris. He was married to their mother, Cynthia Applewhite, for 54 years, until her death from cancer in 2001.

Both Luke and Cynthia were heavily involved in the marketing campaign for Angelina Jolie's 2014 film "Unbroken," which chronicled their father's life. Cynthia is a former successful ballerina who danced with the San Francisco Ballet. Luke is a former guitar player who played with the band Sparks in the 1970s. Their father, who was the subject of two biographies as well as Jolie's film, died on July 2, 2014, at the age of 97.
