How many episodes of "Moonshiners" air each season?

The first season of the TV series "Moonshiners" consisted of seven 42-minute episodes, while the second through fourth seasons consisted between 13 and 15 episodes per season. Discovery Channel has aired a total of 49 episodes and has not announced plans for a fifth season as of September 2015.

"Moonshiners" is a docudrama series portraying families who illegally produce liquor in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The series covers the production of moonshine and the producers' attempts to evade law enforcement. The show premiered on Dec. 6, 2011, and began a new season each November from 2012 to 2014. Each episode runs for 42 minutes, not counting commercials.
