How many hours does an online Construction Safety Training System certification course entail?

Completing an online Construction Safety Training System certification course takes about six hours, according to the BC Construction Safety Alliance. Students can complete CSTS-09, a 15-module course including about 4.5 hours of video, at their own pace any day of the week, 24 hours a day.

As of 2015, students can complete an online upgrade to CSTS-09 in about two hours or less, according to Alberta Construction Safety Association. Students who completed CSTS v3.2 between Jan. 1, 2004 and Oct. 31, 2010 and who have a registered CSTS v3.2 certificate can receive a CSTS-09U certificate upon completing the course upgrade. The upgrade covers the new version of the Construction Safety Training System, which contains new graphics, video and course content.
