How many people died when the Stromboli volcano erupted?

The Stromboli volcano is unique among the world's volcanoes in that it has been erupting almost continually for nearly 2,000 years. In spite of this, as of 2014, there have been fewer than 10 recorded deaths associated with the volcano.

During a violent eruption in 1912, four people were killed by falling rocks from the volcano. In 1930, during the largest eruption recorded in the 20th century, four people were killed by debris and pyroclastic flows entering the nearby ocean. In 1986, the Stromboli eruption claimed its most recent victim, a scientist who was killed by debris while standing on the rim of the crater.
