Was George Jones' funeral broadcast live?

The cable channels CMT and GAC broadcast country singer George Jones' funeral live on April 25, 2013 from Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Many of Jones' friends attended, including country singers Vince Gill, Randy Travis, Kenny Chesney and Kid Rock.

During a three-hour memorial, some of the singers sang their own songs in dedication. Vince Gill sang "Go Rest High On That Mountain" and Kid Rock sang "Best of Me." At the end, Alan Jackson performed Jones' "He Stopped Loving Her Today" before Jones' own voice belted out a recorded version of his "When the Curtain Falls" as the pallbearers carried his coffin to his grave.
