How many schools are in the Broward County school system?

As of 2015, the Broward County Public School System includes 238 schools, centers and technical colleges and 105 charter schools. The first to be accredited in Florida, Broward is the second-largest public school system in the state - and sixth-largest network overall in the United States.

The district features more than 268,000 K-12 students and at least 175,000 adult students attending technical, adult and community schools. The district employs more than 25,000 permanent staff and administrators and over 6,000 substitute and temporary employees.

The diverse student body in Broward County features students from 198 different countries speaking 184 different languages.
