How many senses are there?

Humans have a total of five senses. These senses include vision, hearing, taste, smell and touch. With these five senses, humans are able to discover the world around them and prepare for any danger that may come their way.

The five human senses coincide with five organs in the body. A person uses his eyes for vision, his nose for smell, his ears for hearing, his mouth for taste, and all of his skin for touch. Each of the five senses are very important to the health of a person, since humans use at least one of their senses each second of every day. Even while people sleep, they are utilizing their senses to stay alert throughout the night.
