A single Global Forever stamp can be used to mail a postcard or 1-ounce letter from Augusta to Cuba. The Global Forever stamp costs $1.15 in 2014. If the envelope or card is large or oddly shaped, a surcharge may be applied, according to the U.S. Postal Service.
There are some restrictions about what can be sent to Cuba. The envelope may not contain coins, currency, bearer securities, gemstones or precious metals. Letters or cards that play a sound when opened are not allowed. Perishable biological substances — infectious or not — and radioactive materials are also prohibited. Including any of these items will cause the envelope to be returned to the sender.
