How many stars make up the Little Dipper?

The Little Dipper is made up of seven stars. Unfortunately, unless a person lives in an area of the world that is not blinded by city lights, seeing more than one or two may be impossible.
Stargazers who want to catch a glimpse of the Little Dipper should know how to find it using the Big Dipper. The Big Dipper has two parts: the bowl and the handle. The two outer stars in the bowl of the Big Dipper are called Dubhe and Merak. From those two stars, draw an imaginary line between them and that will lead you to Polaris, the North Star. Polaris is the tip of the Little Dipper's handle, so from there, simply look over to find the rest of the constellation.
