How many stars are in the solar system?
By Forinfos - 05/10/2025 - 0 comments
There is only one star in the solar system that Earth is located in, and that is the sun. Solar systems are named as such because each one is made up of a main star or sun, which has a gravitational field and objects surrounding it. The nearest known star to the Earth's solar system is over four light years away.
The sun of Earth's solar system takes up approximately 99 percent of the solar system. The planets and other smaller objects pulled into the sun's orbit make up the other one percent. Jupiter makes up the majority of that one percent.
