Salvia Marcus is a herbacious low-maintenance plant that produces deep violet blooms. It blooms from early summer to mid fall and grows to a height of 12 inches.
The common name for Salvia Marcus is Marcus dwarf blue sage. It requires medium to low amounts of water and grows best in moist but well-drained soil. It does well in full sun whether planted directly in the soil or in a container. Its fragrant leaves attract butterflies and hummingbirds. This perennial plant is resistant to dear, drought, air pollution and dry soil. Its blooms are good for both fresh-cut and dried flowers.
