What is the marital status of Barry Manilow?

Barry Manilow, though legally single, unofficially married his manager Garry Kief. The two married in April of 2014 Palm Springs, California, at Manilow's home. The couple wears wedding bands, however, they refrained from signing official marriage paperwork. Approximately 30 close friends attended the ceremony.

Manilow's first marriage was to Susan Deixler in 1964, which lasted one year before he left her to pursue his musical career. He and Deixler attended Eastern District High School in Brooklyn, New York, where they became high school sweethearts. Although, many rumors persisted of Manilow's sexuality, he has maintained his privacy and has never publicly come out as homosexual as of 2015
