How do you calculate discount and sale prices?
By Forinfos - 16/03/2025 - 0 comments
To calculate the sale price of an item, first convert the percentage of the discount to a decimal. Next, multiply this decimal by the original price, and then subtract the result from the original price. The result is the sale price.
For example, if an item's sticker price is $50 and it is on sale for 30 percent off, first convert the discount to a decimal. In this case, it is 0.30. Next, multiply $50 by 0.30 to get $15. Subtract $15 from $50 to get the sale price of $35. Alternatively, subtract the discount percentage from 100 percent, and then multiply the result by the original price.
