By Forinfos - 22/03/2025 - 0 comments
For 2015, the maximum annual contribution to a 403(b) plan is $18,000 in elective salary deferrals, according to the IRS. If aged 50 or older, a catch-up contribution of up to $6,000 can be made beyond the limit of elective deferrals.
The limit on annual additions, which is the combination of all employee elective salary deferrals and employer contributions to all 403(b) accounts, is generally the lesser of $53,000 for 2015 or 100 percent of includible compensation for the employee's most recent year of service. In addition, if a 403(b) plan allows it, a 15-years of service catch-up contribution is also available for employees who qualify.
