How do you measure liquid in a syringe?
By Forinfos - 09/02/2026 - 0 comments
Measure liquid in a syringe by observing the liquid's level against the scale on the syringe. Draw liquid into the syringe using the plunger until the right quantity is achieved and observed next to the desired increment of the scale, as stated by the National Prescribing Service.
Syringes come in many sizes ranging from 0.5 ml to 60 milliliters. Because of this, varying increments of measurement are used. Depending on the size of the syringe, scales with increments of 0.01 milliliters to 2 milliliters exist allowing for a very accurate way of delivering medicine, as described by the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
