What are the measurements of a cricket wicket?
By Forinfos - 03/12/2025 - 0 comments
A cricket wicket is 28 inches high and 9 inches wide, and the bails on a wicket are 4 3/8 inches long on top. Placement of the wickets is approximately 65 feet apart, located at each end of the pitch.
The game of cricket takes place on a field known as the cricket pitch. In most cases, the pitch is a flat grass. Some pitches are made using artificial turf placed atop concrete, but almost never for professional matches. Batters stand to one side or the other of the pitch and wait to be delivered the ball. This occurs on one bounce from a bowler who stands in the center of the pitch.
