By Forinfos - 15/11/2025 - 0 comments
Some customers who have a 2011 to 2013 model Kia are compensated for a difference in fuel economy, as the actual fuel economy rating is incorrect, according to Kia. This is a voluntary reimbursement by Kia to make up for the change in fuel cost.
Kia also pays a 15 percent premium, acknowledging the inconvenience the situation has caused customers, states Kia. Kia entered into an agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board, where Kia loses 2.05 million greenhouse gas credits. This results in the permanent reduction of 2.05 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions into the environment.
