What is a minced onion?
By Forinfos - 08/04/2026 - 0 comments
A minced onion is a very finely chopped onion. The process of mincing is done either with a food processor or a very sharp kitchen knife.
Mincing creates much smaller pieces than just regular chopping. The key to mincing an onion is to space the cuts closer together to create tiny segments of the vegetable. Those who are intimidated by using a kitchen knife or who want to save time may also use a food processor to cut the onion. Minced onion is used in a variety of recipes including pasta sauces, meat dishes, casseroles, international cuisine and other culinary dishes.
