What is a mini pressure cooker?

A mini pressure cooker is a pressure cooker with small volume. A pressure cooker creates a high inner pressure during cooking because of a tight-fitting lid.

The higher pressure allows for a shorter preparation time of food cooked in a pressure cooker in comparison with food cooked in a regular pot. Other advantages of pressure cookers over regular pots are better tenderization of meat and better preservation of flavors, especially with cheap cuts of meat.

Pressure cookers are available as both stovetop or electrical cookers. The size of a pressure cooker is usually between 3 and 10 quarts, but there are models smaller than 2 quarts.
