What is a mini Samoyed?

A mini Samoyed dog is actually known as a Japanese spitz dog. There is not a dog breed with the name mini Samoyed; however, Japanese spitz dogs are often referred to as mini Samoyed dogs due to their small stature and their similar appearance to Samoyed dogs.

Japanese spitz dogs are long-haired dogs that have a pure white coat. They have short hair on their legs but long, thick hair all over the rest of their bodies. These dogs have small and pointed ears with large, oval, dark eyes, and they are small in size. They have a life expectancy of 10 to 12 years.
