Where is the Mojave Desert located?

The Mojave Desert is located between the latitudes of 34 and 38 degrees North. It is situated in the southwestern region of the United States, traversing southeastern California and parts of Arizona, Nevada and Utah. The Sonoran Desert lies to the south of the Mojave, while the Great Basin Desert is to the north.

The Mojave Desert comprises the Pahrump Valley, Death Valley, Amargosa Valley and the Las Vegas Valley. The Californian section of the desert is divided into the Western Mojave, Central Mojave and East Mojave. The Mojave Desert spreads eastwards from the San Bernardino and San Gabriel mountains in California to the northwestern region of Arizona and the southern portion of Nevada.
