What is the Moller Skycar?

The Moller Skycar is a prototype of a flying car that was invented by Paul Moller. It is a hybrid vehicle that takes off and lands like a helicopter, flies at a high speed but can travel at a low speed on the ground, and fits on city streets.

The Moller Skycar has two hand-operated controls that the pilot uses to notify the computer control system of desired flight maneuvers. It has deducted fans that deduct air vertically for takeoff and horizontally to fly forward. The deducted fans encase the propellers that improve aerodynamic efficiency at low speeds and keep spectators from being exposed to moving blades. Paul Moller has been developing the Skycar for 40 years.
