What is the "Monkey Quest" game?

"Monkey Quest" was an online multi-player kids game released by Nickelodeon in 2011. The game officially shut down in 2014 to allow Nickelodeon to pursue other digital ventures.

In "Monkey Quest," players navigated the fictional World of Ook as monkeys. Quests, challenges and battles were features of the multi-player gameplay, which allowed users to join tribes and craft clothing, potions and weapons. Chim Foo, Sea Dragons, Ootu Mystics, Mek-Tek and Ice Raiders were the five available tribes. The goal of the game was to unlock lands and eventually become a tribal leader. In 2012, Variety announced that Paramount Animation was in the process of developing a "Monkey Quest" movie.
